IDS Offers Global Perspective
Inside Dental Technology delivers updates on digital workflows, materials, lab techniques, and innovation in dental technology through expert articles and videos.
More than 100,000 dental professionals are expected to descend upon Cologne, Germany, this March for the 34th International Dental Show (IDS). Held every 2 years, IDS showcases the latest product offerings from the international dental market—with segments including dental practices and dental laboratories, infection control and maintenance, and services, information, communication, and organization.
Representing more than 50 countries around the globe, 1,800+ exhibitors will set up shop in Koelnmesse, the fifth-largest exhibition center in the world. The hall will be open from 8 am to 7 pm each day of the show—from Tuesday, March 22 to Saturday, March 26. On the first day of the event, the fair is open exclusively to specialists and exhibitors in the dental trade, giving attendees time for uninterrupted sales negotiations.
With the increasing globalization of the dental laboratory market, IDS gives laboratory owners an excellent opportunity to gain insight on the future direction of dentistry. Live demonstrations at the exhibitor booths can help laboratory professionals stay up to date with the latest technologies and give them a chance to interact directly with manufacturers.
IDS 2011 will also host a variety of sessions focusing on trends and innovations that are shaping the dental industry. Breaks between sessions give attendees an excellent opportunity to speak with presenters, network with colleagues, and forge new business relationships.
Leading up to the event, visitors can use the online meeting planner at the IDS website (www.english.ids-cologne.de) to send meeting and appointment inquiries to exhibitors via e-mail. The IDS online route planner creates individual visit plans, including optimum routes through the halls. For exhibitors, registration forms are available in multiple languages on the IDS website.
