Williamson Wins Panthera Master Cup

Panthera Dental, in collaboration with Inside Dental Technology and Ivoclar Vivadent, announced that Mark Williamson, CDT, has won the 2017 Panthera Master Cup.
Each participant was evaluated on a case requiring Panthera implant bars that was specifically designed for the competition. A panel of five world-renowned experts in the field selected the top three places according to predetermined criteria.
Williamson, Senior Technical Manager for Ottawa Dental Laboratory in Illinois, won a trip to Quebec City, Quebec; an interview with IDT; a $1,000 cash prize; and $2,500 in Phonares tooth stock.
Williamson is a graduate of the Kois Center and a founding member and past president of the Chicagoland Dental Technician Study Group. He also has served as president of the Illinois Dental Laboratory Association.
Bart Hyde, CDT, of Hyde Dental Prosthetics in Fallon, Nevada, took second place and earned a $750 cash prize and $1,000 in Phonares tooth stock. Kim Dubois and Genevieve Gagnon of Laboratoire Dentaire Prosthotech in Canada were third and won a $250 cash prize and $500 in Phonares tooth stock.
The panel consisted of Ruth Bourke, RDT; Andreas Klie, RDT; Arun Sharma, MSc, DDS; IDT Co-Editor-in-Chief Peter Pizzi, MDT, CDT; and Ivoclar Vivadent General Manager Rob Mior.
