A sold-out crowd of dentists, specialists, laboratory owners, and other industry professionals from 10 countries and 36 states descended on the Lord Baltimore Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 27-28 for two days of engaging education, networking, and tradeshow exhibits at the IDT International Digital Denture Symposium.
“The IDT International Digital Denture Symposium was the best CE course I have attended—ever,” says Frederick Rueggeberg, DDS, MS. “I have been in dentistry now more than 35 years, and bar none, this one was at the top. I learned a great deal, met leaders in the field, and the venue and food were the best.”
The sold-out event held 400 attendees and featured 12 live CE credits (both ADA and NBC accredited). Nine main-stage presentations were headlined by keynote speakers Charles Goodacre, DDS, and Brian Goodacre, DDS, on the first day and Jocelyne S. Feine, DDS, MS, HDR, FCAHS, on the second day. There were also 11 commercially supported workshops and two panel discussions.
Attendees ranged from novices to experts in the field of removable prosthetics.
“It has come to a point now where we have to find out what we are going to do with digital dentures,” says Greg Thayer, CDT, FICOI. “It's knocking on our door.”
The date and location for next year's event will be announced soon, with more details and registration information to come next year.
“This is truly the tipping point of removable prosthodontics,” says Robert Kreyer, CDT. “This digital denture symposium will be the future educational opportunity for all technicians specializing in or wanting to learn about removable prosthodontics. In 2018, you'd better be here.”
