Modern dental laboratories are distilling on-site used, dirty isopropyl alcohol (IPA) back into crystal-clean IPA. Used solvent waste cannot simply be washed down the drain or tossed in the garbage. Waste generators have a "cradle to grave" responsibility for the safe disposal of hazardous wastes. There are both federal and state laws that need to be followed, or dental laboratories risk considerable fines or worse.
