The Next Generation of the Carbon DLS™ Process
Inside Dental Technology delivers updates on digital workflows, materials, lab techniques, and innovation in dental technology through expert articles and videos.
Getting started printing the parts you want to make with Digital Light Synthesis™ technology has never been easier. Carbon is further evolving its idea-to-production platform with all-new M-Series printers that deliver the speed, accuracy, quality, and reliability that are essential for dental laboratories. The next generation of Carbon printers will come in two models, the M3 and the M3 Max.
The M3 printer is designed for high-volume dental laboratories desiring higher throughput and access to the widest range of real, functional materials in additive manufacturing. The M3 is currently available for ordering and shipping, and the M3 Max is available for order and will ship in late 2022.

M3 Printer
} Faster printing: Thanks to better heat management, the M3 and M3 Max printers deliver more throughput per square foot for thermally limited scenarios, such as dental models, with throughput improvements up to 2.5x greater than the M2 printer.
} Fast and easy installation: The M3 is designed to be installed in hours, with the ability to relocate the printer as customers see fit.
} Native 4K Printing: The M3 Max printer uses a true 4K light engine to offer double the build area with the same pixel size and density as the M3 printer.
KeySplint
KeySplint Hard and KeySplint Soft are evolutionary 3D printing resins to create splints and night guards, combining the strength needed to protect teeth with the option of either rigidity or added flexibility for greater patient comfort. Both are FDA 510(k)-cleared materials made in the USA, as well as Health Canada-approved and CE marked (Class IIA). Both are abrasian and fracture resistant, easy to polish, and easy for the patient to clean.
