The presence of additive manufacturing technology in dental laboratories has become increasingly common in recent years, to the point that nearly two-thirds of US laboratories now utilize a 3D printer. The National Association of Dental Laboratories began surveying its membership about 3D printing in 2019, and below are some of the results from 2021.
61% of US dental laboratories reported using a 3D printer in 2021, up from 57% in 2020.
57% of US dental laboratories with 3D printers use them for 10 or more cases per day on average.
