Inside Dental Technology delivers updates on digital workflows, materials, lab techniques, and innovation in dental technology through expert articles and videos.
Every year, Inside Dental Technology asks its Editorial Advisory Board to nominate Game-Changing Products for the annual Product iNavigator. These products demonstrate superior innovation and potential for bringing change to the industry. Following are 10 of this year's selections, with more at insidedentaltech.com/idt1319.
Pac-Dent
Lee Culp, CDT
This 3D nano ceramic print resin is FDA-approved for denture teeth, temporary restorations, and most importantly, permanent restorations. The system includes five initial shades, and a matching stain and glaze system. It is high-strength, radiopaque, and has 51% nano ceramic filler content for 2023 insurance coding.

This zirconia combines both worlds of high strength on one side and the esthetic of a multilayered high-translucent material in the other side. Therefore, it is the most versatile zirconia. Ideal for small single-unit restorations up to full-arch tooth- or implant-borne bridges.
VITA North America
Mark Williamson, CDT
I was amazed with the simple and speedy application after sampling it on a full-arch PMMA implant temporary. There are situations when pink composite is not always the best option, and with a product that offices universal characterization, such as VITA AKZENT LC, what a great option to use for staining teeth and tissue.
InstaRisa
Andre Theberge, CDT, RDT
The InstaRisa 3D face scanner integrates with CBCT and IOS scans for a true 3D experience and planning opportunity.
Zimbis
Steven Pigliacelli, MDT, CDT
A great addition to our laboratory. It makes inventory control so much easier. We do not need to fear forgetting to reorder products anymore. The cabinets automatically restock for us. Everything from burs to zirconia blocks to vials of porcelain are stored in our Zimbis system.
Ivoclar
Jessica Love, CDT
The esthetics are perfect! Once we mastered the color selection and nesting, milling multilayered materials greatly enhanced our workflow and esthetics. Not all multilayered zirconias are the same. ZirCAD Prime's gradient translucency has held up on strength and esthetics, and the bleach shades are beautiful.
Keystone Industries
Dennis Urban, CDT
KeyDenture Try-In is a material that is dependable time after time for printed denture try-ins. I can achieve fit, form, and function, and also have the ability to characterize this material to mimic the patient's natural gingiva.
Aidite
Keith Miolen, CDT
EZneer has made an impact for our veneered cases, combining strength and esthetics. We have found it to be less costly and a better bottom-line return than our previous means of pressing such restorations.
Digital Educators
Arian Deutsch, CDT
Developed by Rick Ferguson, DMD, for use with the Phrozen Sonic Mini 3D printer, this smaller build plate speeds up printing and is capable of printing a screw-retained temporary in 20 to 30 minutes at 170 μm when combined with Dr. Ferguson's settings.

The Matik is a mind-blowing automatization for regular laboratories that allows the technician to concentrate on design again instead of feeding a milling machine. The self-cleaning functionality allows for smooth operation while milling different materials all day long, or even over the weekend, without needing to clean in between the milling cycles.
