I have spent a number of years lecturing extensively to dental laboratories and dentists on digital dentistry because it has made me faster, more efficient, safer, and better. I practice esthetic dentistry, not cosmetic dentistry; that means I copy Mother Nature. I can make any restoration look as beautiful as a natural tooth, and the most beautiful reward is seeing the big smiles on patients' faces. Recently, I have been 3D printing crowns and using the new VITA AKZENT® LC composite stains on them.
They have the longest track record for glass-ceramics in dentistry, and their products are so esthetic.
It comes in so many nice colors, and they blend well. It also works great for characterizing VITA ENAMIC hybrid ceramic crowns.
It is very similar to working with ceramic stains; you follow the same principles and techniques, and it applies just beautifully.
