Dentsply Sirona has announced the US market launch of its new dental implant system, MIS LYNX. Designed to streamline implant procedures and enhance clinical outcomes, the MIS LYNX implant system offers a range of features that are expected to meet the diverse needs of dental professionals.
The MIS LYNX implant is a versatile solution for a broad range of clinical applications, according to a Dentsply Sirona press release. It matches the dimension range and prosthetic line of the existing MIS C1 implants, providing a reliable option for achieving primary stability in various bone qualities, including immediate placement in extraction sockets, the company said. This system is designed to simplify the process of dental implantation, offering an effective solution for clinicians.
Key to the system’s unique offering is the inclusion of sterile, single-use drills with each implant package, the company said. The MIS XD drills are sharp, sterile, and ready for immediate use, allowing clinicians to maintain strict hygiene protocols without the need for additional sterilization before surgery.
“We are thrilled to bring MIS LYNX to the dental professionals in the US,” said Rodrigo Canelhas, group vice president of implants and prosthetic solutions at Dentsply Sirona. “Clinicians can rely on this innovative solution to achieve results across diverse clinical scenarios, enhancing their practice and giving them greater confidence in patient care. It also shows our unwavering commitment to meeting the needs of dental professionals through premium-quality implants at a cost-effective price point.”
The MIS LYNX implant system also incorporates the brand’s MIS CLEAR™ surface technology. The CLEAR™ process involves immersing implants in an isotonic saline solution, preserving their quality from production to placement, according to Dentsply Sirona. Bench-testing studies have shown that this method lowers carbon levels on the implant surface, enhances mineralization with Calcium Phosphate (CaP), and maintains a wet surface throughout the implant’s shelf life, the company said.
“With over 10 years of experience using the MIS system, I see LYNX as a natural evolution,” said Dr. Gustavo Giordani, a Dentsply Sirona speaker and educator from São Paulo, Brazil. “I am impressed by the quality of the prosthetic components and the drills. Small details, like sterilized and sharp burrs, make our work as clinicians easier.”
For over 30 years, MIS has been a leader in the implant dentistry field, focused on clinical excellence and innovation, Dentsply Sirona said. With the launch of MIS LYNX, the company reinforces its commitment to providing dental professionals with high-quality, cost-effective solutions designed to deliver predictable patient outcomes, Dentsply Sirona said.
