PostProcess Technologies has launched the DEMI X 520 for Dental PolyJet, an automated post-processing system designed to streamline support removal for dental labs using PolyJet 3D printing technology. The system aims to improve efficiency, consistency, and part quality while reducing manual labor requirements.
The DEMI X 520 for Dental PolyJet is based on the company’s existing DEMI X 520 platform, incorporating PostProcess’ Axial Flow Technology, which utilizes controlled variable pump speeds and pre-set software controls to standardize post-processing results. By combining proprietary chemistry, software, and hardware, the system seeks to optimize workflow efficiency in dental labs.
For many dental labs, manual post-processing of PolyJet-printed parts is a time-consuming step that can introduce variability in quality. The DEMI X 520 for Dental PolyJet automates this stage, reducing the reliance on manual labor while improving throughput and repeatability.
The system integrates with PostProcess’ digital platform, AUTOMAT3D, enabling users to store post-processing parameters, automate workflows, and reduce manual intervention. By standardizing support removal, labs can lower labor costs while achieving more predictable results.
"At PostProcess Technologies, we’re committed to delivering innovative, safe, and efficient solutions that empower dental labs to meet the demands of today’s rapidly evolving additive manufacturing market," stated Jeff Mize, CEO of PostProcess Technologies. "The DEMI X 520 for Dental PolyJet reflects that commitment by providing an application specific production system that simplifies and automates the post-printing workflow, maximizing lab productivity and safety.”
