DGSHAPE Americas has announced the release of the DWX-43W, a new wet milling system designed to improve efficiency and lower operating costs for dental labs. The latest addition to the company's milling lineup features filter-free technology, faster milling times, and an open-architecture platform for material and software flexibility.
According to DGSHAPE, the DWX-43W reduces milling time by up to 20% with an updated CAM software system. It also eliminates the need for coolant tank filters, a change the company states can lower maintenance costs by 20%. Additional improvements include automatic coolant jet optimization and a redesigned draining cycle, which DGSHAPE says reduces routine maintenance by 50% compared to previous models.
The system is compatible with a range of materials, including zirconia, lithium disilicates, hybrid ceramics, PMMA, composite resins, and titanium blanks. The DWX-43W also includes new internal material adapters compatible with DGSHAPE’s AK-1 Material Adapters, allowing for the milling of custom titanium abutments with pre-mill CAD/CAM blanks from manufacturers such as MEDENTiKA, DESS, and GeoMEDI. It also integrates with Ethernet and USB connectivity, allowing labs to streamline their digital workflows.
DGSHAPE highlights that the DWX-43W includes its proprietary VPanel and DGSHAPE Cloud software, enabling remote monitoring of the milling process. The system also comes with a 6-pin adapter accessory, allowing users to mill up to six units simultaneously.
