ACTEON® has announced the launch of two new solutions designed to improve dental practice efficiency and enhance patient care: the C20 Full HD intraoral camera and OPUS®, a new system for prophylaxis and periodontal care. These products will be introduced at IDS 2025 in Cologne and are intended to streamline workflows while improving diagnostic capabilities.
C20 Full HD Intraoral Camera
The C20 Full HD intraoral camera, powered by AIS 5.5 software, provides dental professionals with an intuitive tool for capturing high-quality images with minimal effort. The camera is compatible with TWAIN, Windows, and Mac systems, ensuring ease of integration into existing practice workflows. It offers Full HD resolution, delivering clear and detailed images for enhanced diagnostics.
Key features of the C20 include:
- Bright Halo Illumination: Ensures clear visibility, even in low-light conditions.
- Fog Light Technology: Prevents lens fogging, ensuring uninterrupted imaging.
- Exclusive Automatic Flipping: Automatically adjusts the image orientation, reducing the need for manual adjustments.
- AIS 5.5 Imaging Software: A modern interface that automates tasks such as report generation and patient record archiving.
The C20’s ergonomic design and lightweight construction make it suitable for use by the entire dental team. It is expected to enhance patient communication by providing clear visual aids and offers advanced imaging capabilities at an accessible price point.
OPUS® for Prophylaxis and Periodontal Care
ACTEON® also introduced OPUS®, a dual-mode system designed to improve prophylaxis and periodontal care. OPUS® integrates ultrasonic scaling with air polishing, allowing clinicians to treat a wide range of clinical indications, including both supragingival and subgingival treatments.
The system features:
- Ultrasonic Mode: Utilizes high-frequency vibrations to remove calculus and plaque with minimal impact on teeth and gums.
- Air Polishing Mode: Combines air, water, and fine powder to clean and polish tooth surfaces, effectively removing stains and biofilm.
OPUS® is designed for ease of use, with adjustable power settings that provide more precise control over treatment. It includes a variety of tips and nozzles, including reusable periodontal nozzles, making it adaptable for different clinical applications.
Kristel Rolland, Chief Marketing Officer of ACTEON®, stated, “Our OPUS solution is our masterpiece of design and engineering. Developed for all dental professionals, ultra-intuitive, extremely precise, compact and versatile, it is so comfortable that patients barely even notice they’re being treated.”
