Dentsply Sirona has announced an expanded indication for its Lucitone Digital Value 3D Economy Tooth and Trial Placement material, now approved for use in provisional crowns and bridges. This development broadens the material’s applications within digital dental workflows, offering dental labs a multi-purpose solution for various prosthetic needs.
The Lucitone Digital Value material is designed for use in 3D printing workflows, allowing labs to produce multiple applications on the same platform without modifying their processes. It integrates with Dentsply Sirona’s Lucitone Digital Print Denture system and is compatible with commercially available self-curing resins for cementation and relining.
“Lucitone Digital Value is anything but limited,” Rodrigo Canelhas, Group Vice President Implant and Prosthetic Solutions at Dentsply Sirona, stated. “By expanding its indications to include provisional crowns and bridges, we’re providing dental labs greater utility to help deliver both versatility and efficiency. This is yet another step in Dentsply Sirona’s ongoing commitment to advancing digital dentistry and supporting dental labs.”
With the expanded indication, the material can now be used for provisional crowns and bridges, provisional All-on-X dentures, economy denture teeth, try-in appliances, and temporary dentures. According to the company, its high-impact BAM! strength technology provides durability and resistance to chipping during adjustments and finishing.
Lucitone Digital Value is available in multiple shades, including A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, C1, and BL3. The material has a three-year shelf life.
Dentsply Sirona has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for the use of Lucitone Digital Value in provisional crowns and bridges.
