Medit recently announced that it will not raise suggested retail prices for its US customers, citing ongoing economic challenges faced by dental professionals across the country, according to a press release from the company.
The company, which develops intraoral scanners and digital dentistry software, said the decision reflects its ongoing focus on affordability and access to digital tools for dental practices and laboratories.
“Dental clinics and labs are the heartbeat of oral health in America,” Medit CEO Han Ryu says in the press release. “They deserve tools they can trust and a company that stands beside them. We believe now is the time to support our community—not place additional burdens on it.”
In the press release, Medit states that its intraoral scanning solutions are designed to be open, cost-conscious, and user-friendly. According to the company, its approach to pricing is part of a broader effort to maintain long-term relationships with providers through accessible technology and consistent service.
The company also emphasized its ongoing investment in software development and customer support as key elements of its approach to product value.
Medit has provided digital dentistry products for over ten years and reports usage among a wide range of providers, from independent practices to dental labs.
