Dentsply Sirona and Formlabs announced the immediate availability of the Lucitone Digital Print Denture workflow on Formlabs Form 4B dental 3D printers via a recent press release. This integration provides dental laboratories with access to a validated system for fabricating digital dentures using Dentsply Sirona’s Lucitone materials.
Designed to streamline production and support both premium and economy denture options, the validated Lucitone Digital Print Denture System workflow includes Lucitone Digital Print, Lucitone Digital Value, Lucitone Digital IPN, Lucitone Digital Fuse, and the Digital Cure Units. These materials are designed to support fast, repeatable production, and reduce the need for complex assembly processes, according to the press release.
“Our collaboration with Formlabs underscores our shared commitment to empowering dental laboratories with the most advanced tools for digital dentistry,” Rodrigo Canelhas, GVP, implant & prosthetic solutions at Dentsply Sirona says in the press release. “By validating the Lucitone Digital Print Denture workflow on Formlabs’ printers, we enable labs to streamline their workflow and achieve precise, aesthetic outcomes with confidence.”
Formlabs noted that the inclusion of the Lucitone system enhances the capabilities of the Form 4B printer platform by expanding its library of validated third-party materials.
The Lucitone Digital Print Denture System includes denture base and tooth materials in a variety of shades including 18 tooth shades aligned with the VITA classical A1-D4 shade guide.
The validation is now live and available for use by dental laboratories using the Formlabs Form 4B platform.
