ADA Member Advantage has announced an endorsement of onDiem, a dental staffing platform that connects practices with licensed dental professionals for temporary staffing needs. The platform is intended to help practices manage short-term staffing challenges while complying with labor regulations.
The collaboration aims to assist American Dental Association (ADA) members who are dealing with staff shortages due to employee absences, schedule adjustments, or increased patient volume. onDiem offers access to a national network of dental hygienists, assistants, and front office staff. All professionals on the platform are classified as W-2 employees.
As part of the agreement, ADA members will receive a flat 25% service fee on all shifts booked through onDiem, along with a $25 rebate for each of the first 20 shifts, totaling up to $500.
“Dental staffing shortages remain a significant challenge for many of our member dentists,” said Tony Frankos, Chief Business Products Portfolio Officer overseeing the ADA Member Advantage program. “Any gap in the dental team—whether in hygiene or front office—disrupts a practice’s ability to deliver care. After thorough research, we believe onDiem is the right partner to help address this issue. Their intuitive technology, broad network of qualified candidates, and strong commitment to customer service make them well-positioned to support our members during short-term staffing needs.”
onDiem employs all of its dental professionals directly, a model that differs from that of many traditional temporary staffing agencies. According to the company, this structure is intended to reduce legal risks for practices by including workers’ compensation and unemployment insurance coverage.
The company reports that it currently works with over 13,000 dental practices and 34,000 professionals nationwide. The platform is designed to simplify tasks such as scheduling, posting shifts, and reviewing candidate profiles.
“We’re honored to be chosen as an ADA Member Advantage endorsed company,” said Joe Fogg, CEO and Founder of onDiem. “We know how important it is for practices to find reliable staffing help without sacrificing compliance, and we’re excited to serve ADA members with tools that support both.”
