KLOwen Orthodontics has appointed Chris Bentson as an independent member of its board of directors, effective July 1, 2025. Bentson has more than 37 years of experience advising orthodontic practices on valuation, transition planning, and operational strategy. He is a partner at Bentson Copple & Associates, where he has worked with orthodontists nationwide.
“Throughout my 37-year career dedicated exclusively to orthodontics, I’ve witnessed the specialty evolve through two key digital transformations — first in the back office with the rise of practice management systems, and now in the clinical space with the shift to custom digital treatment,” Bentson said.
According to the company, Bentson’s appointment aligns with its focus on advancing custom, digital-first treatment solutions designed to reduce patient visits and streamline clinical workflows. KLOwen stated that Bentson’s knowledge of practice economics and orthodontic market dynamics will support its strategic initiatives.
“I firmly believe the future of orthodontics lies in fully digital solutions that enable greater efficiency, profitability, and work-life balance for providers — while delivering faster, more comfortable treatment for patients,” Bentson said. “Joining the board allows me to apply everything I’ve learned to support KLOwen’s mission and help drive this critical shift in our industry.”
Ryan Elmore, CEO of KLOwen Orthodontics, said Bentson’s addition to the board brings valuable insight as the company expands its platform. “Chris’s reputation for strategic market insight and his deep relationships across the orthodontic community make him an ideal addition to our board,” Elmore said.
KLOwen Orthodontics was founded in 2019 by orthodontist Dr. Brandon Owen. The company develops custom digital orthodontic technology, including fixed appliance systems, and reports that its solutions have resulted in an average of 7.1 fewer appointments per patient.
