Henry Schein, Inc. and Henry Schein One have launched LinkIt™, a digital workflow tool that allows dental practices using Dentrix®, Henry Schein One’s on-premise dental practice management software, to integrate with various digital imaging, planning, and design systems. The new workflow is currently available in the United States and Canada.
LinkIt is intended to reduce manual data entry by allowing case details to be entered once within Dentrix. The workflow supports the launch of intraoral scanning software from within the platform and aims to facilitate continuity across imaging, design, and production phases. It also centralizes diagnostic images from multiple device manufacturers into a single repository.
According to Henry Schein, the tool was developed to address the challenges of interoperability among dental technology platforms and to streamline clinical and lab coordination.
“Dental professionals have made it clear that they need interoperable, flexible systems that effortlessly integrate,” said Mackenzie Richter, Vice President, Global Commercial Digital Workflow Solutions, Henry Schein, Inc. “The LinkIt workflow is our answer to that call—a future-ready framework designed to simplify digital workflows, enable prosthetic workflows, and support every step of the patient journey.”
Current integrations include platforms from companies such as Planmeca, Medit, and more recently, Dentsply Sirona’s DS Core. Additional scanner integrations are planned.
“We’re thrilled about the integration of DS Core with Henry Schein’s LinkIt platform, a milestone that embodies the spirit of connected dentistry,” said Max Milz, Group Vice President, Connected Technology Solutions at Dentsply Sirona. “This collaboration will empower our customers with seamless, cloud-powered workflows—bringing greater efficiency to daily practice workflows such as sending lab cases, single-visit restorations, or patient consultations.”
The LinkIt workflow covers stages from diagnostics through treatment planning, design, and fabrication, all managed through Dentrix. Henry Schein describes the system as brand-agnostic and part of a broader effort to promote a more open and unified approach to digital dentistry.
“Running a dental practice today is more demanding than ever. It eats up time, strains teams, and pulls focus from patient care,” said Ali Hyatt, Chief Customer and Growth Officer at Henry Schein One. “With LinkIt in Dentrix, we’re making technology feel invisible so dentists can stay focused on what matters most: their patients.”
