National Dentex Labs (NDX) has established a presence at the Touro College of Dental Medicine (TCDM) campus at the Lovelace Biomedical Research Institute in Albuquerque, marking a collaboration tied to the opening of New Mexico’s first dental school.
NDX will operate within the $50 million TCDM facility, providing access to digital dental technology and laboratory services for students and faculty. The arrangement is designed to connect clinical education with laboratory workflows.
“Our mission has always been to provide clinicians with the best possible tools and expertise to improve patient outcomes,” said Paul Kahn, interim CEO at National Dentex Labs. “By moving into Touro’s New Mexico campus, the state’s first dental school, we are helping to shape a new standard of care for the region.”
New Mexico has 32 of its 33 counties designated as dental health professional shortage areas. The TCDM facility includes more than 100 dental units and clinics focused on oral surgery, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. With NDX on-site, the collaboration will support casework ranging from 3D-printed restorations to implant procedures.
“TCDM was built to be one of the first fully digital dental schools in the country,” said Ronnie Myers, DDS, dean of Touro College of Dental Medicine. “Having a collaborative relationship with NDX within our walls allows our students and faculty unprecedented access to industry-leading digital dental technology and to witness, in real-time, the synergy between the clinic and the lab, preparing them to provide high-quality, affordable care to the Albuquerque community and beyond.”
National Dentex Labs provides dental prosthetics and restorative solutions, including crown and bridge, dentures, implants, and orthodontic appliances through its network of laboratories across North America. The company operates independently within space provided by Touro, with all products and services managed directly between NDX and its customers.
Touro College of Dental Medicine’s New Mexico campus offers a pre-doctoral dental program focused on expanding access to care, with an emphasis on serving underserved populations through clinical training supported by digital technology.
