Planet DDS recently announced a partnership with Truro to integrate predictive intelligence capabilities into the Denticon practice management platform. The integration will introduce tools designed to help dental organizations improve patient scheduling, increase operational capacity, and optimize revenue, according to a press release from Truro AI.
According to the company, the collaboration embeds Truro's predictive intelligence technology into Denticon through a new offering called Denticon Insights. The platform is designed to identify high-risk appointments at the time they are scheduled, highlight patients who may benefit from proactive outreach, and surface patients with overdue hygiene visits or unaccepted treatment plans.
Planet DDS said the goal is to help practices and dental support organizations (DSOs) eliminate bottlenecks and realize revenue opportunities that might otherwise be missed without additional staff time or effort, according to the press release.
Denticon Insights uses machine learning to generate actionable recommendations directly within existing practice workflows, allowing teams to prioritize patient engagement based on predicted outcomes rather than relying solely on historical reporting.
The integration was developed in collaboration with Park Dental Partners, which piloted the technology before its broader release. Planet DDS said Denticon Insights has also been incorporated into the Planet DDS API, enabling third-party patient engagement vendors and AI developers to build applications that leverage the predictive data.
"I'm incredibly excited about our partnership with Truro AI because it solves a problem that has frustrated dental group operators for decades," said Planet DDS CEO Eric Giesecke. "This is exactly the kind of partnership we look for: best-in-class technology, a real operational problem, and a result that immediately changes how our customers run their business."
Truro CEO Anjali Srivastava said the integration came from a true collaboration between his company, Park Dental and Planet DDS.
"Bringing an integration of this magnitude to life requires incredible dedication," he said. "By plugging our predictive AI directly into Planet DDS, we are transforming historical data into immediate, actionable intelligence."
Planet DDS said the new capabilities are intended for both individual practices and larger DSOs seeking to standardize patient-facing operations across multiple locations while improving scheduling efficiency and resource utilization. The company noted that the predictive intelligence tools are designed to work within existing Denticon workflows rather than requiring practices to adopt separate software systems.
