RØNVIG Dental recently introduced a redesigned version of its COMPO-JECT composite applicator, featuring a lighter construction, revised grip, and improved balance for routine restorative use, according to the company.
The updated applicator is designed with a rounded ergonomic grip intended to improve handling and reduce the force and strain associated with extruding composite materials. RØNVIG Dental said the instrument is designed to facilitate mounting and controlled material application across a range of viscosities.
“Dental nurses and dentists handle a composite applicator many times a day. We believe they deserve an instrument designed for that reality,” Annette Ravn Nielsen, managing director at RØNVIG Dental, said in the release.
The applicator is constructed from stainless steel and a glass-reinforced engineering polymer. According to the manufacturer, the combination is intended to reduce instrument weight while providing sufficient strength and durability for repeated clinical use and reprocessing.
RØNVIG Dental said the redesigned COMPO-JECT retains the functionality of the previous version while incorporating the updated ergonomic features.
The applicator is manufactured in Denmark and is backed by a 5-year warranty, according to the company.
