Relu has introduced Single Inbox, a case-intake feature designed to consolidate digital scans, prescriptions, and related case information received by dental laboratories through multiple platforms.
Dental laboratories commonly receive cases through a variety of intraoral scanner portals, email accounts, and cloud-storage services, requiring staff to retrieve files and manually enter prescription information into laboratory workflows. According to Relu, Single Inbox is intended to automate this process by collecting and standardizing incoming scans and prescriptions in a central location, where cases can be prepared for scheduling and design.
Through provider-authorized integrations, Single Inbox connects with major intraoral scanner platforms, including 3Shape, iTero, Medit, Dentsply Sirona, DEXIS, SHINING 3D, 3DISC, AlliedStar, and Panda Scanner. The system also integrates with Outlook and Gmail, as well as Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, and SharePoint.
After a laboratory connects its case sources, the system automatically retrieves incoming cases, including associated files, prescriptions, and metadata. Relu reports that cases are typically retrieved within a minute of arrival and processed continuously.
"Manual intake comes with a cost," said Thomas Beznik, Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder of Relu. "A 100-person lab faces the following challenges doing intakes the manual way:
- Labor: up to five technicians spend their day copying data instead of making teeth
- Speed: cases can wait hours in the intake backlog while the turnaround clock is ticking
- Consistency: a lost email or mistyped Rx becomes a remake, and eventually a lost customer
- Security: staff opening hundreds of attachments and logging into a dozen portals a day is how cyber incidents start

Single Inbox is available through the Relu Automate platform for dental laboratory users. The feature is designed to reduce manual case-intake tasks and create a standardized workflow for moving digital cases from receipt to production.
