More than one-third of laboratories in an Inside Dental Technology survey said they did not increase their fees in 2019, and only 11% said they increased fees by more than 5%. The data indicated a clear difference based on region: Nearly half of laboratories in the Northeast, Southeast, and Midwest kept their fees steady, compared with only a quarter of those in the Southwest, Northwest, and West Coast. Meanwhile, 13% of those laboratories in the West raised fees by 6% or more, compared with only 7% of laboratories in the East and Midwest.
