The Next Level
Inside Dental Technology delivers updates on digital workflows, materials, lab techniques, and innovation in dental technology through expert articles and videos.
Four-hundred dental professionals packed into a small auditorium at the Lord Baltimore Hotel in 2017 for IDT's first digital dentistry symposium, and the event took off from there. As materials, hardware, software, and techniques evolved, so too did the symposium, with almost 800 dentists, laboratory professionals, denturists, and other members of the dental industry convening at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis in 2019, just a few months before the pandemic put everything on pause.
We are excited to bring back the event with an expanded scope, and while the name has changed slightly, our commitment to the collaborative process has not. The IDT Live Digital Dentistry Symposium—IDT Live for short—will reflect that April 12-13 in Indianapolis. I believe every case should be viewed as a denture case in terms of evaluating form, function, and esthetics in a manner that will provide the best possible results for the patient, so incorporating crown-and-bridge, implants, and more into this fabulous educational environment we have created only makes sense.
What will not change about IDT Live is our commitment to the collaborative process, which is the key to the future. Neither clinicians nor laboratories can be truly great without collaborating effectively with our counterparts. With this event's traditional even split of clinical and laboratory professionals, I look forward to the interactions, the camaraderie, and the interdisciplinary treatment planning that will come out of it. Whether we are discussing technical details while taking in a lecture or exchanging business tips over a meal afterward at the famous St. Elmo Steakhouse, I am so excited for this opportunity to see you all come together, in person, to help drive dentistry forward.
Indianapolis is a fabulous town, from the racetrack to the restaurant scene and more. But the best action for these two days will be inside the JW Marriott, where we'll have unmatched collaborative learning about digital dentistry. Join us!
